St. Stephan's Cathedral - Vienna
Stephansdom, the St. Stephen's Cathedral, is the seat of the archbishop of Vienna, and a symbol of the Austrial capital. Today's Romanesque and Gothic church was originally built in the 12th century, and underwent multiple extensions, rebuilding and renovation through the ages. The building is 101 metres long, the northern tower is 60, the southern tower is 137 metres high, 347 steps lead up to the lookout, where a beautiful panorama view can be enjoyed.
The cathedral can be visited daily from 6am until 8pm, the tower is open from 9am until 5:30pm. Accessible by U1 and U3 metro lines, Stephansplatz station.
