Line U1 of the Vienna Metro transports passangers between Kagran and Reumannplatz. The line was completed in 1982, running entirely in tunnel south of the Danube, and entirely on elevated track north of the Danube. The length of the line is 6.8 miles, travel time is 18 minutes, and there are 12 stations in between: Alte Donau, Kaisermühlen, Donauinsel, Vorgartenstrasse, Praterstern, Nestroyplatz, Schwedenplatz, Stephansplatz, Karlsplatz, Staubstummengasse, Südtiroler Platz, Keplerplatz. An extention line further north to Leopoldau is under construction.
Nestroyplatz is the seventh stop of the Viennese U1 metro line, the red line, going from northeast to southwest.
