The Natural History Museum, the Naturhistorisches Museum in Vienna houses exhibitions on the history of the earth and the beauty of its nature on 8700sqm floor space. On the elevated ground floor (Hochparterre), unique and precious stones, huge dinosaur skeletons and old fossils can be observed. The exhibition on the first floor includes species that are either extinct or under strict protection today.
The museum is open every day except for Tuesday (and holidays), from 9am until 6:30pm Monday through Friday, and until 9pm on Wednesdays.
