The 21-km long, but only 70-210 metres wide Donauinsel, or Danube Island, is a unique recreation area of the city of Vienna. The nicely landscaped, beutiful island offers numerous bars, restaurants and places of entertainment, as well as a wide range of sport facilities – kayak, rollerblades and rollerskates, bicycle, swimming. The riverbank offers a beach atmosphere, and is thus also called Copa Cagrana.
