The Austrian Parliament is situated on the Ring of Vienna. The classicist-style building was built at the beginning of the 1870’s. At first, the Empire’s Council held meetings here, consisting of two chambers, a lower and an upper chamber, so the building has two main wings with two large session-halls. Since 1920 (except for the years around the Second World War), the building hosts Austrian Republic’s legislation, the National Council and the Federacy Council.
The parliament building can be visited on guided tours as well. By public transportation, it is easy to access from the Volkstheater station of U2/U3, or from the Stadiongasse/Parlament station of the D/J/1/2 tram line.  A Parlament – Vienna - nearest hotels
