Albertina - Vienna
The Albertina Castle and Museum received its name from Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen, a son-in-law of Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, who established a grand art collection, which became one of the world’s most famous art collections. The grand Vienese palace was built in Neoclassical style, and the beautifully renovated rooms host a long line of unique original paintings, some from Monet and Picasso as well. The palace hosts both permanent and current exhibitions.
Schloss Albertina is located in downown Vienna, it is easiest to access from the Opernring. Burg Garten is located to the southwest. 3A busline has an Albertinaplatz stop.
